Mrs Krishna and Constable Taina's Visit
This term we had two very important visitors come to Room 10 and teach us:
1.how to wash our hands ,
2. how to sneeze and
3. how to cross the road safely.
Mrs Krishna used glitters to show students what dirty hands look like and bubbles to show how germs spread when students sneeze incorrectly.
Constable Taina informed the students that they are not all allowed to cross the road by themselves unless they are 8 years old. The students were awarded a certificate for the following:
1.stops, looks and listens before crossing the road,
2.crosses the road safely and
3. walks safely on the house side of the footpath.
The correct way of putting the seat belt was also modelled.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the stepping out programme. Next term these two lovely ladies will come again to teach us some more good habits. Room 10 would like to say
THANK YOU the police way to Constable Taina and Mrs Krishna.

SPACE
WALT:Learn the name and the order of the planets.
We created a wall display about what we learnt this term. Have a look at what it looked like. We also did a Sgraffito artwork using bright coloured pastels and black paint. It was fun to do and we enjoyed scratching the paint. It took us a long time to finish our artwork . We think out artwork looks fantastic. what do you think?

ANZAC DAY CELEBRATIONS IN ROOM 10
Mr Asby ,our caretaker brought some medals that belonged to his Dad and his grandad to share with us.
We were so excited because this was the first time we had seen real medals. It was round, hard and shiny. Some were silver and some were gold. We gave Mr Asby a poppy flower that we made in our class.
